The Crossroads Travel Inn and Conference Centre provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore Cornwall. The beautiful north coast of Cornwall is just 3 miles away; the closest beach is Porthtowan, a stunning sandy bay backed by dramatic cliffs.
There are countless different activities to try while you are here. Hire a surfboard and wetsuit at Porthtowan and take to the waves or hire a bicycle and explore the famous Bissoe Cycle Trail that meanders past the hotel, taking you through some of Cornwall’s prettiest countryside. Horseriding and sailing are fantastic ways to see the county from a whole new perspective. Simply walking the coast path is a wonderful way to relax.
If you are passionate about horticulture, you’ll find some of the country’s most beautiful gardens nearby, including the historic Tregullow Gardens, right on our doorstep at Scorrier. Further afield, towards Falmouth, is Trebah, a magical sub-tropical garden, and Trelissick, a famous National Trust property with its riverside walks and Iron Age fortress.
For shopping, galleries and museums, the lovely Georgian city of Truro has plenty to offer; a little further is the legendary harbour town of Falmouth, home to the National Maritime Museum. At St Ives, a short drive away, is the Tate Gallery and countless other studios where you’ll find a huge range of local art to browse.
